Introduction
Founded by Atomic Object in the fall of 2003, SoftwareGR is a 501c6 non-profit trade association dedicated to improving the competitiveness of Michigan’s software development community. We are interested in all aspects of software, from design and development, to testing and user experience.
Facts
- We meet regularly on the 4th Tuesday of each month, excepting December and summer months. Membership and attendance at meetings is free.
- We typically have between 30 and 60 people at our monthly meetings.
- We organize an annual conference, the Great Lakes Software Excellence Conference.
- SoftwareGR is a chapter of the SEI’s Software Process Improvement Network (that makes us a SPIN).
- Corporate sponsors are essential to have nice meeting places, snacks, and speakers from out-of-town. We encourage sponsorship of GLSEC as a means of supporting the organization.
