Katie Cunningham: A virtual chat about accessibility

When: January 22, 2013

Katie Cunningham will be hanging out, virtually, with us for our January meeting. Today, she will be introducing the basic ideas behind accessibility, such as who it covers, going over the most frequently asked questions, and some tricks that any developer or designer can start using today to create accessible websites.

About Katie

She is a Python developer at Cox Media Group, as well as a writer for O'Reilly and Pearson. She is the author of Accessibility Handbook, a guide to accessibility written for designers and developers. She's an advocate for making a web that everyone not only can use, but enjoys using.

She lives just outside of Washington, DC with her husband and two children, and actively blogs at therealkatie.net.
